Corcord Campus Commencement
Commencement Ceremony
Undergraduate and graduate student Commencement Ceremonies will take place on the Concord Campus on Sunday,
June 15, 2008 beginning at 9 a.m. The ceremony will be located in the Boatwright Sports Complex on the Concord
Campus. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place as scheduled.
Attendance Requirements
Students who have filed for graduation and are eligible to attend the Concord Campus Commencement will receive
an invitation from the President in early spring.
Graduate and credential students who have taken coursework at Concord are automatically eligible to
participate in the Concord Campus Commencement. Undergraduate students who have completed at least 8
units of coursework at the Concord campus are eligible to attend.
Students may attend commencement ceremonies on both the Hayward and Concord campuses.
RSVPs
Students participating in the Concord Campus Commencement must RSVP online at
MyCSUEB by selecting the
Graduation Status/Commencement link. Each graduate is limited to 12 guests and 3 parking passes (required).
The deadline to RSVP is May 16, 2008.
Commencement Attire
Caps and gowns are required for all students participating in the ceremony. The weather is often hot,
so be prepared and bring water. Bags, purses, and other items that you do not want to carry in the processional
should be left in a car or with relatives or friends.
Parking
Parking will be available in the Staff/Faculty and Student parking lots on the Concord campus. Each graduate
is limited to 3 parking passes. Disabled parking will be available at the entrance to the Boatwright Fields.
Use the Ygnacio Valley Road entrance to access these parking lots. Shuttles from the parking lots to the field
will be provided. Pine Hollow Road entrance will be closed on the morning of the ceremony.

Photography During Commencement
Graduates will be individually photographed at the commencement ceremonies by a professional photographer.
Ordering information will be mailed to each graduate from the photographer. See the Pre-Commencement section for
information on taking an individual portrait prior to graduation.
